WHIPLASH: HYPER-FLEXION HYPER-EXTENSION INJURY TO THE CERVICAL SPINE The dynamic of the "Whiplash" injury can be very difficult to explain to your patient. Soft tissue injury is also a very difficult injury to prove legally. This new "Whiplash Chart" can help in both areas. The clean, clear, concise, anatomically-correct illustrations will provide you with the needed visual drawing to impact upon your patient. It will add in gaining patient understanding of this common but potentially dangerous traumatic injury. The new "Whiplash Chart" will also be helpful in substantiating your care, not only to the patient in your office, but also to a jury in the courtroom. This chart was specifically designed to illustrate this common injury, which is very often difficult for patients to understand. They should learn of the total impact upon their health and the future consequences of neglect. It will build confidence and credibility through better communication and dramatic presentation. OSTEOARTHRITIS: PROGRESSIVE CERVICAL SPONDYLOSIS "How bad is it doctor?" "Are there other patients with the same problem?" "Can you help me?" "Will I ever get better?" These are a few of the very common concerns of patients with progressive degenerative osteoarthritis. It is oftentimes comforting for patients to know that the condition is common enough to be illustrated on a wall chart. Also, it is reassuring for treatment purposes. You can show your patient the stage of development of his or her condition and project realistic expectations. Because this unique chart was illustrated with the doctor of chiropractic's needs in mind, certain portions of the cervical plexus and vertebral arteries have been removed to allow clarity in illustrating the osseous changes in the cervical spine. These changes are common to the cervical spine and many people are troubled with symptoms that affect the neck. This osteoarthritis chart is a natural companion to the whiplash chart. It is a logical way to tie in and show the patient how these potential complications from a cervical spine injury and their condition are related. Your patients will appreciate the explanation of their injury or condition and will be able to explain chiropractic care to others. Osteoarthritis Chart ............... $ 38.00 Plus s/h |

LUMBAR SPINE PROLAPSED DISC: The terms "herniated disc" or "prolapsed disc" are not common to your patients' vocabularies. Do they really understand what happens when they develop intervertebral disc syndrome? How do your patients picture in their minds why they have pain and how this is causing pressure on their spinal cord and/or spinal nerves? To help your patient visualize the concept, a new feature has been incorporated, which illustrates a superior view of a lumbar vertebra and what happens "inside" the spinal canal. DEGENERATIVE DISC: How often have you tried to show a patient what a degenerative disc looks like? How many patients do you treat with osteophytic spurring causing foraminal encroachment and nerve root irritation? How do you explain the nerve root irritation which can occur as a result of these common arthritic processes? This section of the chart will greatly aid in your patient understanding, and the unique superior view will give a new dimension to your explanation. NORMAL LUMBAR SPINE LATERAL VIEW: To illustrate abnormal conditions there has to be a comparison to what is "NORMAL." In this section of the chart, a normal lateral lumbar spine has been included in the series of lumbar spine illustrations. This enables you to fully complete the explanation of what is normal and what is abnormal so your patients can actually see where they fit into the process.
